David Gertler

David Gertler is a technology executive with an unusual background and unique set of accomplishment and experiences.
As a senior executive, he's won awards for business leadership, led early-stage start-ups and helped turnaround Fortune 500 software companies. He's defined "best practices" for software implementation
methodologies and transformed several technology companies through innovations in business operations and strategic planning. Yet, he's also led two Improv comedy troupes, performed Stand-up Comedy internationally and is currently a candidate for the Howard County Board of Education.
As a senior executive at Geac, he was responsible for the transformation of the Sales, Professional Services, Training, Support and Engineering organizations in three global business units. His leadership produced a 250% growth in market capitalization within two years, which led to the successful sale of the company to a private equity firm for over $1 billion in an all-cash transaction. Previously, as COO of a high-growth software start-up, he led the rapid worldwide expansion of operations, including negotiating major contracts with global mobile carriers to launch in 18 countries throughout Europe and Asia.
David Gertler earned four degrees in his career: BS Mathematics from Rensselaer (RPI) and an MS Applied Mathematics from Rensselaer, an MS in Electrical Engineering from Johns Hopkins and an MBA, with distinction, from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He also serves on several Boards, including non-profits, and is frequently called to evaluate investment theses for Angel Investors, Venture Capital, and Private Equity organizations. David is president of KryptoCore, Inc., a Cybersecurity and Management Consulting company.
